Event overview:
Design Matters is a series of informal, monthly, breakfast meetings for Creative Bath members, with a focus purely on aesthetics and great design.
We invite speakers from a breadth of design disciplines to talk with passion and authority on a range of topics which typically include:
-Their personal inspirations
-Designers, both past and present, whose work they admire
-The principles of great design
-How to ensure your design hits the spot
-How to make sure that your design enhances your company’s -brand or content
-Issues relevant and topical to the design community at the time.
Design Matters breakfasts aim to inspire, engage and spark discussion around the importance of beautiful design, and have proved hugely popular since they began earlier this year (in fact they are always a complete sell-out)
Next up on November 7th 2012 is David Stuart.
David was a founding partner and Creative Director of The Partners, which was voted the UK's no. 1 creative design consultancy for 17 years. He has nearly 40 years experience in both design and branding, helping and advising companies on how best they can express themselves.
To add to his list of achievements he has been President of the D&AD and is co-author of the best seller 'A Smile in the Mind', a book which explores the design projects and campaigns which give the most pleasure - the ideas that prompt a smile.
David is particularly keen on encouraging more creative collaboration within the industry and promoting the greater use of wit in design. Join us to find out how and why
