Overview
Are you an ambitious creative business? Apply to the Nesta Creative Business Mentor Network to be matched with one of thirty senior industry executive mentors.
Nesta, the UK’s innovation foundation, is launching its Creative Business Mentor Network (CBMN). Established creative businesses in the film, TV, advertising, digital media and gaming sectors are all invited to apply online at www.nesta.org.uk/cbmn.
The CBMN aims to help creative businesses realise their potential and understand how mentoring can have a positive impact on their future success. Alistair Duncan, Founder, Spark44; Howard Kiedaisch, CEO, Arts Alliance; Mike Hayes, Former CEO, Sega Europe and Rob Woodward, CEO, STV are just some of the mentors involved in the programme.
There have been great results in the past two years. Nesta’s pilot project in 2010 discovered the strong link between mentoring and business success. 95% of businesses in the scheme reported an increase in confidence, 85% improved networks and contacts and 53% improved in profitability.
The closing date for applications is 13th September 2012 at 11:00. The CBMN mentoring programme will match companies with mentors in September and the initiative will begin in October. The programme will involve ten, two hour sessions over the course of 6-12 months as well as networking and in-house support from Nesta.
Nesta is pleased to be working with partners from across the industry including IPA, PACT, UKIE and Creative Skillset
