Prime Theatre is an arts and education charity and an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, supported to make work for, by and with children and young people. Prime has been touring professional productions to theatres and schools since 1986 from its base in Swindon. Prime has a large education and outreach programme which includes Prime Youth Theatre. Recent productions include Punk Rock (with a live band and fully integrated British Sign Language), 2046 (featuring Sherlock star Mark Gatiss) and two BBC radio plays including The Wyvern of Wiltshire by Horrible Histories creator Terry Deary. Prime Theatre is a Arts Award Good Practice Centre 2017-18. Prime Theatre is based in Swindon and works in the surrounding areas.
