We are a fully integrated team of marketing specialists, PR and social pros, designers and multimedia content creators, delivering strategic communications in three specialist sectors. Technology, culture and community. 


We are looking for a design lead to manage, inspire and grow our rapidly expanding creative studio team. You’ll be working directly with account managers and end clients to realise a wide variety of creative outputs in support of innovative communications campaigns and strategies – ranging from website flats to exhibition stand designs with a touch of street art murals and prop designs for The Great British menu. No two days are the same. 

We are looking for an experienced multidisciplinary designer capable of delivering high quality design, with an acute attention to detail across a range of digital and print executions. You will be able to lead and develop our team of designers, photographers and video producers, harnessing and growing their creativity.

Plaster is a fast paced and highly responsive agency – with a hands on approach to delivery across the business. We are looking for an individual who relishes the challenge to think fast and deliver, balancing day to day requests with the management of substantial and rewarding longer term projects. 

You’ll be working with some of Bristol’s most well-known brands, from restaurants to festivals as well as community projects that really make a difference. Your work will be visible (and talked about) throughout the city, as well as reaching a global audience on social media and at some of the world’s largest conferences and expos.

  • Brand development and management – Working with clients and the wider team to develop brand positioning and strategy, realise brand concepts creatively in the production of brand identities and guidelines. Day to day management and oversight of brand application across projects.

  • Campaign ideation and concepting – Leading the team, and the wider agency, in brainstorming for campaign concepts and development of creative execution strategies for campaigns

  • Client presentation – You will be comfortable and confident presenting campaign and design concepts back to our clients while liaising directly with them in the day-to-day production of assets and content

  • Web UX and design – Design, UX and wireframing for digital projects

  • Social media campaign creation – Realisation of campaign creative across social media platforms 

  • Exhibition stand design and branding

  • Event merchandise 

  • Print and production management – Day to day print management across projects – including traditional print, OOH, stand build assets and event signage

  • New business generation – Working with the senior team on campaign concepts, proposals and costing to bring new clients and projects into Plaster

  • Day to day budgeting and project management – Working with the wider team to agree budgets, timescales and milestones on project work

  • Day to day management of the studio team – Triaging and assigning design workloads across the creative team and managing deliverables with the wider team as well as directly with our clients alongside the Studio Manager. 

  • Creative growth of the agency – You will be invested in growing your team, as well as developing the over creativity of the wider team through brainstorms and creative sessions  


  • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud – primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects

  • Powerpoint and Office suite

  • UX design and prototyping (any frontend web development experience, e.g. css in support of this would be a benefit
