Summary

Paid media is a rapidly growing part of our business and we have ambitions to make it at least as large as our SEO service (for which we are primarily known and loved). With rapidly increasing demand across our existing clients and recent new business wins we are looking for an experienced and exceptional Head of Paid Media to continue the stellar growth our paid media team are achieving.

The successful Head of Paid Media will report directly to Rob Wilde (Deputy Managing Director) and we’d hope would join our board within a few years.

About the role Paid media is a rapidly growing part of our business and we have ambitions to make it at least as large as our SEO service (for which we are primarily known and loved).

With rapidly increasing demand across our existing clients and recent new business wins we are looking for an experienced and exceptional Head of Paid Media to continue the stellar growth our paid media team are achieving. The successful Head of Paid Media will report directly to Rob Wilde (Deputy Managing Director) and we’d hope would join our board within a few years.

What you will be doing

● Leading our paid media planning and buying service

● You will take responsibility for the creation of the paid media strategy for our clients

● You will implement the paid media strategy, working with a clear and defined set of KPIs for each client and with the Varn Paid Media team

● You will be confident in media buying across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn and Facebook Ads

● You will be competent at using Google Ads Editor, Google Data Studio and Google Analytics

● You will monitor performance, analysing / interpreting data, drawing conclusions from findings and making recommendations

● Producing bespoke Google Data Studio dashboards for our clients

● Supporting on new business pitches & audits to ambitious SMEs

● Keep up to date with industry developments to ensure continuous development of the agencies paid media knowledge

This role profile is not exhaustive; it will be subject to periodic review and may be amended to meet the changing needs of the business. The successful candidate will be expected to fully participate in such a process if required to positively develop the role.

Requirements

● You have 3+ years of experience in managing Paid Search, Facebook and LinkedIn campaigns

● You have strong commercial awareness and love getting under the skin of what really drives success

● You’re an excellent communicator and you’re confident in presenting data and recommendations to clients

● You’re proactive and accountable

● You have a curious mind and love learning to fill in the gaps in your knowledge

● You will contribute to an environment that fosters open communication and trust with all team members, clients, and other stakeholders

● You will collaboratively work with teams across the business deliver a seamless experience to our clients

● You have the ambition to grow our paid media team
