Part-Time Operations and Marketing Assistant (freelance)

Event Coordination and Logistics: Organise training events, including researching and booking venues, arranging catering, and liaising with venues for logistics. Set up events on platforms like Eventbrite or Luma. Ensure all logistical aspects of events run smoothly, including communication with attendees and sending out of any materials. Project Management: Support onboarding of clients, including sending out materials, surveys, and follow-up information. Help manage project timelines and ensure tasks are completed on schedule. CRM and Website Management: Help manage our CRM and mailing list. Update our Squarespace website with new events and blog posts (content provided). Social Media and Content Support: Assist with LinkedIn activities, such as connecting with people, inviting contacts to events, and managing the content calendar. (Optional) Use Canva to create social media graphics. Administrative Support: Assist with the administrative side of grant applications (e.g., Innovate UK). Schedule board meetings and liaise with board members as needed. We’re looking for someone who: Is proactive, organised, and detail-oriented. Thrives in a startup environment and is comfortable with changing priorities. Has strong communication skills and is confident working independently. Is familiar with tools like Squarespace, Canva, and LinkedIn (or willing to learn). Has experience with event coordination, project management, marketing, or administrative tasks. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with CRMs or email marketing tools. Basic design skills using Canva. Previous experience in a startup or small business.
